Our GP Practice has recently undergone a CQC re-inspection. Over the past year we have been working hard to improve the service we offer you as a patient and we are delighted that the Care Quality Commission rated the care given at Spring Terrace as ‘good’.
The doctors and staff at Spring Terrace Health Centre surgery in North Shields are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations.
The practice premises provides suitable access for all disabled patients.

Flu clinics at the surgery
The below are flu clinics ONLY. Flu clinics will be available at the surgery on the below dates for eligible patients.
Tue 4th October 8:30am-12pm
Sat 8th October 8:30am-12:30pm

New walk-in clinics at the surgery
In September/October Walk-in GP clinics will be available for patients each morning
on the following dates:

Tue 4th October
Tue 11th October
Patients should be prepared to wait as patients are seen
on a first come first served basis.
Please ensure you book in at reception by 10am to be seen.

Get your medicines using the Electronic Prescription Service
By letting us know who your ‘nominated’ pharmacy is, we can send them your prescription electronically so you don’t need to collect it from the surgery. It’s safe, secure and convenient.
Minor Ailment clinics
We now offer a minor ailment clinic each week with our Practice Pharmacist. You can make an appointment as normal with the pharmacist by telephone or in person at the surgery
Please note: The practice is closed between 1 - 2pm each Wednesday for staff training
